French Toast

This classic French Toast recipe is easy and uses staple ingredients we stock in-store. What do you like to top your French toast with?

Directions

  1. In a bowl beat eggs, vanilla, sugar, salt, milk and cinnamon then transfer the mixture to a wide shallow dish.

  2. Dip the bread, one slice at a time into the mixture and allow the bread to absorb it but not to the point that it gets too saturated.

  3. Remove the bread from the egg mixture and place in heated pan coated with butter.

  4. Cook on medium heat for 2 minutes per side or until golden.

  5. Serve drizzled with honey, fruit and some yoghurt. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 5 Slices Sasko White Bread

  • 1 Tbsp Foodland butter

  • 2 Foodland Eggs

  • 1/2 Cup First Choice Milk

  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Essence

  • 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon

  • Salt to taste

  • Liberty Honey
  • Double Cream Plain Yogurt
  • Berries
