ultra crispy air fried wings

Spring has Sprung and we are getting into the ‘sWing’ of it. Try one of these three sauces on ultra crispy air fried wings. They are a great addition to a party food spread.

Creamy Garlic Parmesan, Zingy Honey Soy and Mango Heat are on the line up! Which one will you be trying first?

Directions

  1. Garlic Parmesan sauce

    1. In a blender combine; mayo, parmesan, garlic, lemon juice and honey and blits to a smooth consistency.

    2. Transfer the mayo mixture to a bowl, pour in the remaining ingredients, mix well and season to taste.

  2. Mango heat
    1. In a pot, heat up and dissolve water and sugar to make a simple syrup
    2. In a blender blend the mangos and syrup into a smooth pulp and return to the pot to simmer on medium heat.
    3. In a blender blend garlic, chilies, lime juice , vinegar and oil and add to the pot with the mango mixture.
    4. While stirring constantly add the corn flour slurry and butter. Stir until the butter is fully incorporated. Season to taste
  3. Zingy honey Soy
    1. Saute garlic and ginger in both oils and add all ingredients to the pot.
    2. Bring to a gentle simmer for 5 mins. Add cornflour mixture at the end to thicken the sauce and season to taste.
  4. Wings
    1. Rub the wing liberally in salt and pepper and cover, allow them to sit in the fridge for at least 1 hour to allow the salt to fully season the wings to the bone.
    2. Pat the wings dry before placing into the air fryer basket to ensure crispy skin.
    3. Be careful not to overcrowd the basket. To allow the hot air to fry all sides of the wings. Spray the wings with a light coat of cooking spray and bake for 16 mins at 180C (flipping the wings at the halfway mark.
    4. Coat in sauce immediately after. And enjoy!

  • Goldi Wings 

  • Garlic Parmesan sauce

    • 1 Cup Grated Parmesan

    • 1 Cup Foodland Mayonnaise

    • 2-3 Tbsp Crushed Garlic

    • 1 Tbsp Chefs Lemon Juice

    • 1 Tbsp Liberty Honey

    • ½ Finely Diced Red Onion

    • 1 Tsp Rosemary

    • 1 Tsp Thyme

    • Salt & Pepper to taste

  • Mango heat
    • ¾ Cup water
    • ¾ Cup sugar
    • 2 Cups Fruit Frozen Mango
    • 3 Tbsp Hot sauce
    • 2 Tbsp Crushed Garlic
    • 2 Habaneros / fresh chilies of choice
    • ¼ Cup Lemon Juice
    • ½ Cup Vinegar
    • 1 Tbsp Oil
    • 1 Tbsp Corn Flour dissolved in 1 Tbsp water
    • ¼ Cup butter
  • Zingy honey Soy
    • 1 Tsp Sesame Oil
    • 2 Tbsp Sunflower Oil
    • 1/2 Cup Soy sauce
    • 1/4 Cup Vinegar
    • 1/4 Cup water
    • 1 Tsp Garlic – crushed
    • 2 Tbsp Ginger – crushed
    • 2 Tbsp Honey
    • 2 Tbsp Brown sugar
    • 1 Tsp chili flakes
    • Salt n pepper 
    • 1 Tbsp Corn Flour dissolved in 1 Tbsp water
