Want all the goodness of fried chicken with zero guilt? We’ve come up with a pretty straightforward guilt-free Air Fryer recipe that will give you just that!

Directions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Mix plain yoghurt, spice, garlic, salt & pepper in a bowl and add the chicken pieces. Marinate in the fridge for 1 hour or overnight.

  2. Coating: In a shallow bowl add cornflour, in a separate bowl beat the eggs and milk. In another medium sized bowl add the flour, chicken spice and pepper.

  3. Dredge: Using tongs, dredge the chicken in the cornflour, then the egg mixture, and then lastly in the spiced flour.

  4. Cook: Place in the bottom of the air fryer basket, spray the chicken with cooking spray and cook at 180 for 15-20 minutes.

  5. NB: Open the basket flip the chicken and spray any flour spots with cooking spray. Turn the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes or until the juices are no longer pink.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup First Choice Double Cream Yoghurt

  • 4 Tbsp Crown Chicken Spice

  • ½ tsp Cayenne Pepper (optional)

  • 1 tsp Crushed Garlic

  • Salt & Pepper

  • 2 Foodland Eggs

  • ½ Cup First Choice Milk

  • Liberty Corn Flour

  • 1 Cup Cake Flour

  • Chicken of choice (breasts, thighs, drumsticks)
